AHA 30% + BHA 2%
One of the first product from ordinary, which I was over enthusiastic to try on. I have been on acids from the past 1 year started with their peeling solution.
Our skin is the largest organ in our body, we need to start investing in it.
Earlier the trends were about chemical peel, the world went gaga over it, a chemical peel can be done under expert guidance, whereas now we have a better and milder version which can be used in the comfort of our house.
Surely the time has changed so is the skincare. We need to step up the skincare regime.
There are two types of exfoliation, physical and chemical.
physical are regular shrubs which we are often using twice a week whereas a chemical exfoliation is in liquid form which penetrates in your skin and exfoliates. It targets your concern at a deeper level rather than scrubbing off from the upper layer of the skin.
Due to the progress in science, we are having a better chemical exfoliation with acids.
remember all acids are not bad until it is used in the prescribed amount and for a particular duration.
What is AHA BHA??
I have jotted down in depth on AHA BHA. The ordinary skincare AHA 30%+BHA 2% comes with a PH ~3.6, its a 10 minute facial.
This peeling mask from ordinary have been blessing to many women who struggle to get rid of hyperpigmentation, smoothen texture, by slogging dead skin.
30% Alpha hydroxy acids,(Glycolic/ Lactic/ Tartaric/citric) 2% beta hydroxy acid (Salicylic acid), hyaluronic acid, cross polymer, Vitamin B5, Black carrot and Tasmanian pepperberry.
What it claims:
It comes in crimson red colour, with a faint smell, packed in a frosted white bottle, I have heard the bootle is breakable so be careful, many have lost their crimson gold.
It has been advised to use for only 10 min, use it as masque after washing face, pat dries your skin before applying it.
Apply a thin layer and keep it for 10 mins and wash it or take a wet towel and wipe it off.
I like to use Buffet from The Ordinary or pamper myself with a hydrating sheet mask, just pop them in the freezer before using for that extra cooling effect.
It’s not for week heart people, with sensitive skin. You will notice tingling and slightly burning sensation, its normal if the burning persists and is unbearable wash off the face immediately.
By using AHA BHA peeling solution, you will notice clearer skin, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, it makes way to new layers so don’t over exfoliate, by doing so your making sensitizing your skin.
Always use it during night time. As skin can get time to repair itself, and always step out with broad-spectrum sunscreen. If stepping out in the sun wear covered clothes, never skip sunscreen while using acids.
TEST PATCH IS NECESSARY.
They are two types of exfoliation
1.Physical -You do it everyday by using brush, clarisonic, gentle cloth or scrub, possibilities are endless.
-Since most of the scrub contains nutshells they can micro tear your skin.
Unless it’s Klairs sugar scrub which is mild on skin.
2.Chemical :-No, they are not chemical straight from labs.
-These are derived chemically from plants, fruits, milk.
