Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil which have been widely consumed for years.

Initially it was grown only in the tropics, over the period of time the plantation of palm tree expanded to the other countries.

Currently Indonesia and Malaysia is the largest producer of palm oil.
Palm oil is also used as bio-fuel in many countries.

-Since Red palm oil is rich source of beta carotene which is an inactive form of Vitamin A, it get converted when consumed orally, is extremely important for Eyesights and is proved to be beneficial for pregnant ladies in developing countries.

Palm oil is enriched with antioxidants that fight free radicals.

Free radicals are everywhere in the environment, that breakdown cells and mutation of the body, which can be curbed by using palm oil.

It’s  plantation is sustainable in longer run without causing much damage to the Land.

Palm oil can be used in treating malaria, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, dementia and cyanide poisoning.

It’s  ideal for weight loss as it’s increase body’s metabolism.
Palm oil is ideal for deep frying  as it mostly consists of saturated and monounsaturated fats.

According to WWF palm oil  is used in 50% of products ranging from soaps, ice cream, lipstick and sausages.

Palm oil has been in the amidst of controversy for it’s massive growth.
We all know the the inner competition industries have, since the start of oil palm plantation there has been significant decline in rural poverty.
As palm oil is favorable in every aspect, thus its easy target from the counterpart.

Palm Oil is nutrients rich and has many health benefits too. It is a good alternative as a cooking medium to many of the traditional oils that we use in Indian cuisine.
